Watauga Seniors Are Welcome
The Watauga name is woven through this part of Tennessee, from the
Watauga River to Sycamore Shoals in Elizabethton, where early settlers
formed the Watauga Association in 1772. Elizabethton Senior Center
carries that spirit of neighbors gathering together, and we welcome
seniors from the Watauga community.
Our center has been a gathering place since 1968, and members from
Watauga are part of what makes it feel like a hometown spot rather than
just a building.
Connect With Friends and Fitness
Watauga members can stay strong in our fitness center, learn something
new in a workshop, and share lunch with friends. Our programs are
designed to support the physical, mental, and social well-being of
seniors.
If you have been thinking about getting out more, a first visit costs you
nothing but your time. Stop in during open hours and say hello.
What a Visit Looks Like
Everything described here happens at the center in Elizabethton. Members
enjoy a fitness center, classes and workshops, art programs, community
outings, and a daily lunch that can be eaten on-site or taken to-go. Our
calendar lists what is coming up,
and the nutrition calendar shows the
lunch menu.
Seniors from Watauga are welcome to join and
attend. See the membership page for
the benefits of joining, or simply stop in and see the center for
yourself.
