Roan Mountain Seniors Are Welcome
Roan Mountain is known for Roan Mountain State Park, the Appalachian
Trail, and the famous rhododendron gardens high on the mountain. People
who live here tend to love the outdoors and a close community.
Elizabethton Senior Center welcomes Roan Mountain seniors who want to
add a regular gathering place to that life.
If your days are busy with gardens, grandchildren, and church, a weekly
class or lunch at the center can be a welcome change of pace and a way
to see friends from other parts of Carter County.
A Place to Stay Active Year-Round
When winter weather keeps trail walks and yard work on hold, our fitness
center and classes offer an indoor way to keep moving. In warmer months
our community outings get members out to see more of the area together.
Roan Mountain members are part of the same community as everyone else at
the center, so come as you are and meet your fellow Carter County
neighbors.
What a Visit Looks Like
Everything described here happens at the center in Elizabethton. Members
enjoy a fitness center, classes and workshops, art programs, community
outings, and a daily lunch that can be eaten on-site or taken to-go. Our
calendar lists what is coming up,
and the nutrition calendar shows the
lunch menu.
Seniors from Roan Mountain are welcome to join and
attend. See the membership page for
the benefits of joining, or simply stop in and see the center for
yourself.
