Milligan Seniors Are Welcome
Milligan is best known as the home of Milligan University (still called
Milligan College by many locals), which began in
1866 as the Buffalo Male and Female Institute and took the Milligan name
in 1882. Today it is part of the greater Elizabethton area, and
Elizabethton Senior Center welcomes seniors from Milligan and the
Milligan University neighborhood.
Retirees in a college community often enjoy learning and conversation,
and our educational workshops and guest speakers give you plenty of both.
Learn, Move, and Make Friends
Members of the center use the fitness center, join art classes, attend
financial literacy talks, and share lunch with friends. Whether you
taught, studied, or simply live near campus, you are welcome here.
See the membership page for the
benefits of joining.
What a Visit Looks Like
Everything described here happens at the center in Elizabethton. Members
enjoy a fitness center, classes and workshops, art programs, community
outings, and a daily lunch that can be eaten on-site or taken to-go. Our
calendar lists what is coming up,
and the nutrition calendar shows the
lunch menu.
Seniors from Milligan are welcome to join and
attend. See the membership page for
the benefits of joining, or simply stop in and see the center for
yourself.
